OK but not perfected yet  
I am a photographer who has been using these ladders for years. They have always had weak spots which contributed to them collapsing after a few years. The reason I keep buying them is they have generously sized steps which make standing on them much more comfortable. I ordered a new one last week to replace a broken one. It appears that several of the weak spots have been re-engineered and I look forward to hopefully not having this one collapse on me. The biggest problem I have with the new one is that the re-engineered clips which must be squeezed in order to put down the handle are extremely hard to squeeze and the pins which must go into a hole to keep the handle up do not line up very well. In other wordsit was almost impossible to put the handle down once it was up. I called Amazon and they immediately sent me a new one. The new one is a little better but not good. Hopefully the company will work on a better solution for the future. :2010-09-15 21:39:38

Good Ladder  
Good Ladder. The mechanism that holds the bar in place broke after only one (4 month) project. So I am giving it a 4 star rating instead of a 5 star rating. The rest of the ladder is very sturdy and comfortable for a big guy. I am not even sure when it broke. I just noticed one day when I went to use it that the bar did not lock in place. The tab that locks it in place was bent. I am a bit disappointed in this as it is a very expensive ladder. :2010-09-15 21:39:38

Great product. Very well constructed. Heavy duty.  
This step ladder is excactly what I was looking for. I needed a small three step ladder to repeatally walk up and step into the back of a pickup truck. The key to this product was the handle that releases and folds down out of the way which is hard to find. This product fit the bill perfectly. Very sturdy and heavy duty. The Ultimate 3-Step Ladder?  
All I can add to other detailed reviews is my impression and experience. Tis stepladder is costly but also a good value. It is very strong and provides a stable platform(s) which gives the feeling and reality of safety. Im about 5-8" 215 lbs and my 5-8" 320-lb friend has also had great experience with his. As has been noted the ladder is heavy difficult to carry and awkward to store but those things can be good -- I bought one for my 88 year-old friend to replace her rickety old ladder partly so that she will be less likely to use a stepladder at all and will be more likely to get help when it is needed for a task. To summarize I feel this ladder is so good that I am willing to live with the "issues". It ought to last a lifetime. :2010-09-15 21:39:38
